Dad had a gas pump at the garage. This lock is what he used to secure the handle to the pump. When I got my license to drive, Dad would let me get gas from the purmp. He always kept it locked so I would have to go to him and ask him for the key to the gas pump. I always hated to ask him because I felt like I was taking something without giving anything in return. I guess that was the capitalism that was instilled in me by our society. Gas at that time was between 10 and 20 cents a gallon. Dad didn't really sell gasoline. He just kept it for his use. (He had a repair garage).
